3 Top Dog-Friendly Spots in the Jacksonville Area

Beach and other dog friendly spots in jacksonville

Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra Beach are some of the most pet-friendly places you’ll ever experience. Dogs in golf carts cruising down the street, pups running into the waves at your favorite beach, and doggie menu items at your go-to restaurant…just to name a few reasons your four-legged friend will love it here.

1. Mickler’s at Ponte Vedra Beach — PVB is one of the only beaches in Florida that allows dogs with no restrictions. Bring your leashed pup at any time of day for a walk, run or swim. Head to Mickler’s Beach for one of the best public accesses. Come for the relaxation and fun, stay for the abundance of shark teeth and stunning waterfront estates.

2. Brewhound Dog Park + Bar — This is THE spot to kick back with a cold drink and watch your dog play their hearts out. Brewhound is one of those spots that’s always busy (and for good reason!) It’s less than $10 for a day pass, and then choose from gourmet coffee or curated beer/wine once inside. You’ll love the vibe, your pup will love the wide open space and meeting other furry friends.

3. Cruisers Grill — Such a fun spot to grab a bite, with or without Fido. Cruisers has been a Jax Beach staple for many years, and they’re one of the most dog-friendly establishments around. There’s even a menu item just for your pup! Come grab a seat at the outdoor bar or patio and soak in sun sun (with a cold cocktail and some cheese fries, of course.)

Planning a visit to one of these local favorites sometime soon? Give me a shout — Griffey and Tulip may be interested in tagging along!
