Your Jacksonville Brunch Guide for the Weekend

Brunch is defined as “the meal eaten between 10am and 2pm that is a form of social outing; it often involves mimosas, rose and cocktails.” Sunday Brunch (aka Sunday-Funday) is a tradition in Jacksonville where a boozy, mid-morning, no-rules meal is enjoyed with friends and family (or friends that are family). There are so many great places to Brunch in Jacksonville that cater to every craving, family dynamic and Sunday plans. Here are three of our favorites to check out next weekend —

1. Slider’s Oyster Bar, Neptune Beach

After a months-long renovation, Slider’s Oyster Bar has become THE place to brunch since it’s reopening earlier this year. The decor is a bit of a beachside 80’s throw-back with its pink and mint color scheme and neon lights (do yourself a favor and check out the bathrooms). Slider’s has several indoor and outdoor seating options, plus lawn games and a putting green; great for little or big kids.

The menu offers local seafood fare and is known for its oysters (we recommend the Sampler Platter of specialty oysters), Mayport Shrimp (the tacos are awesome) and Crabby Fries (a delicious combo of fries, crumbled crab cakes and queso).

Pili-Pili (an amazing reggae duo) is there every Sunday from 12:00pm - 4:00pm, so arrive early to snag a good table!

2. Jax Beach Brunch Haus, Jacksonville Beah

The Brunch Haus is not only a local favorite to enjoy a great meal, but there’s a fun surprise in store if you happen to time your visit correctly. If you‘re lucky, the owner will be there to belt out some classic Opera tunes to the crowd. Altman’s charismatic way of connecting with his customers (aside from the food) is what makes The Brunch Haus a standout spot.

Their menu includes a wide range of breakfast staples (eggs, grits, waffles) and a large selection of Bodacious Bennis (unique twists on a classic eggs benedict). With their full menu of Brunch-tails and Coffee-tails, you’ll be going often to try them all!

3. 3 Palms Grille at The Yards at Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra Beach

If a swankier brunch with golf course views is the vibe you want, head to 3 Palms to kick off your day. Located at The Yards at Sawgrass, 3 Palms Grille offers a classic club brunch ambiance.

Their menu boasts refined plates that include oysters, lobster and grilled octopus, but also brunch staples like deviled eggs and chicken and waffles (must-tries are the Truffled Deviled Eggs, Lobster Flatbread and the Paris Brunch Plate). Get a seat on their outdoor patio for extensive views of The Yards (the golf, pickleball and tennis club) and join in on the fun!

Whatever your mood and tastes are for Sunday Brunch, Jacksonville has something for everyone. If you haven’t had the chance to enjoy any of these great restaurants for Brunch, get started on your bucket list this Saturday! Report back with your favorite. Cheers!
